The development of the mobile Belot game began in 2007 for popular Symbian and J2ME mobile phones from Nokia, Samsung, and Siemens, but it never saw the light of day. Initially developed in Java, the game was later adapted for Android, reviving the desire to finish it. In early 2011, “Beginning Android Games” by Mario Zeichner provided a foundational framework for aspiring game developers. The first version of Belot was released on December 15, 2013, and received positive feedback.

Our plans are to continue developing the game. There are several key aspects of the development, each representing different directions we could take. Our time is limited due to the nature of the universe’s organization and the need for a “normal” job.

The main directions we are currently considering, ranked by importance according to us, are:

  • iOS version
  • Tablet design
  • Online multiplayer
  • Game improvements: scoring, virtual tournaments, card decks, AI enhancements, graphics, optimizations, and bug fixes
  • Wifi multiplayer
  • Bluetooth multiplayer

Choosing any of these goals will take weeks/months/years of work, and other goals will be postponed.

In conclusion, we thank everyone for their help and look forward to your comments and suggestions in the future!
